Sophie Jamieson’s return to the music world was met with a great response last year, and despite many plans being cancelled by Covid-19, we’ve finally been able to hear new music from her. She describes ‘Concrete’ as her upcoming EP’s central statement, and it connects to her experience being knocked off of her bike: “When I was hit, I felt this intense relief as I flew through the air - the relief of being allowed to feel pain, having permission to cry, and a reason to be taken care of”. Alongside the track, we are treated to a music video direct by Jamieson herself, which taps into the hypnotic, disconcerting sound of the track.
